Utah – Footloose (1984)
Even if you haven’t seen Footloose yet, you are likely familiar with the words to a couple of the songs. This is a classic musical starring Kevin Bacon as a young man. This story depicts a young man who moves to a tiny town and sets out to overturn the town’s dance ban. If it hadn’t been shot in Utah, we believe the plot would not have worked as effectively.

Vermont – Super Troopers (2001)
Have you noticed how many cult masterpieces are included on this list? The film Super Troopers is about five bumbling state troopers in the fictional Vermont town of Spurbury. By attempting to solve a crime, they attempt to perform a better job than the local police agency. Is there any way to make this film more Vermont-centric? We didn’t believe it. Also, we apologize if we made you think of Abba’s “Super Trouper”!
