His Stutter
When he was on 60 Minutes, he revealed that he had a stutter when he was a kid. Luckily, school helped as did speaking to his dog. In 2006, he opened the Tiger Woods Learning Center. His old stutter only became common knowledge when he took the time to write a note to a suicidal boy. He said, “I know what it’s like to be different and to sometimes not fit in. I also stuttered as a child and I would talk to my dog and he would sit there and listen until he fell asleep. I also took a class for two years to help me, and I finally learned to stop.”
