Back Surgery
In 2014 and 2015, Tiger Woods underwent back surgery. Unfortunately, he still could not get his dominant form back. During the latter year, his rank dropped to #104, which was the first time he did not make it to the first hundred since 1996. In 2016, he dropped out of the top 500 altogether! In 2017, the Official World Golf said he was rank number 1,005. Whoa. It was sad to hear his gradual decline, but this does not diminish the fact that he held the top spot for 683 weeks!
