Eileen Atkins – 87, Clapton

Dame Eileen Atkins has not retired, however, she has not been on screen since the 2019 TV series Doc Martin. Atkins is well-known for her work on Broadway and with the Royal Shakespeare Company. She was one of the many high-profile cast members of the 2001 film Gosford Park. Atkins is one of those rare great actors who can perform as well in dramas as she does in comedies, and she has done so throughout her incredible 68-year career. In the successful juvenile film What a Girl Wants, she made us giggle, and in the historical drama Cold Mountain, she produced a believable portrayal.
