Miranda Richardson is a well-known English actress who has acted in films such as The Hours, Spider, and The Crying Game. She has been nominated for seven BAFTA Awards. She also participated in the 1992 film Enchanted April, alongside Jim Broadbent and Alfred Molina. Richardson is a World Wildlife Fund ambassador and a West End performer who has been nominated for an Olivier Award. She attended Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, where she met famed method actor Daniel Day-Lewis. Not bad for a Southport girl who used to spend hours at her local cinema watching matinees of western movies!
